The powerful Solar Titan synergy centers around the combination of three artifact mods, Flint Striker, Kindling Trigger and Heart of the Flame, which will make you radiant, apply more scorch and cause mighty powerful chains of ignitions.
Flint Striker will make you radiant by simply getting rapid solar weapon precision hits or final blows. Kindling Trigger makes it so that when you are radiant, Solar weapons apply scorch to unscorched combatants. Thanks to Rays of Precision, if you make a Solar precision final blow while radiant, the unlucky foe will explode in a powerful ignition.
All of the above benefits will apply to any subclass as long as Solar weapons are used. If you decide to rock a Solar subclass you’ll be delighted to know that thanks to Heart of the Flame you’ll be able to power up your super if you cast it near allies, and that all of your abilities can now weaken champions and bosses. You know what pairs nicely with explosions? You’re right, more explosions! This is the motto for the solar build we’re featuring in this guide. We’ve tested it in Legend and Master content while being 25 light levels under and the results were more than optimal: high survivability, a lot of damage from our primary weapon and big smiles with the many explosions we were causing.
Armor and weapons
The centerpiece of this build is the synergy between the Sunshot and the Path of Burning Steps, along with all the benefits from Flint Striker, Kindling Trigger and Heart of the Flame. By using our Sunshot (which, along with all other hand cannons, just received a buff in PvE) we were causing explosions, spreading scorch, igniting enemies and, thanks to the Path of Burning Steps’ Exotic perk, receiving an escalating damage bonus for minibosses and bosses. Along with Sunshot we recommend a Solar rocket launcher like Hezen Vengeance, Roar of the Bear, Code Duello or Apex Predator to maximize the impact of the buff from the Path of Burning Steps.
If you would like to use an Exotic Solar rocket launcher like Gjallarhorn or the reprised Dragon’s Breath, you can swap Sunshot for classic Solar primaries like the Calus Mini-Tool, Ammit AR2 or the Zaouli’s Bane hand cannon. If you find yourself dying more often than you’d like, the Loreley Splendor helm is always a safe option for survivability but the best Exotic to hot swap to really get the most out of this build is the Pyrogale Gauntlets.
Equip the Burning Maul as a super and, when it’s time to damage, put the gauntlets on to cast an ultra-damaging fire tornado, then you can go back to wearing the Path of Burning steps. There are no downsides in taking the leg armor off as its bonus only applies to weapons, not abilities. Don’t forget to throw your hammer before hitting with the maul, it’s a free weakening effect.
Lastly, in case hand cannons are really not your thing in PvE, we highly recommend using the Vex Mythoclast as your primary. This gun has received a number of buffs this season, especially to its linear fusion mode.
If you want to feel like a real daredevil, there is one last modification you can do to bring this build into the stratosphere but to reap its high reward you’ll have to take on a lot of risk. An almost unused exotic in Destiny 2 just got a 1000% (no typos here) damage buff against champions, minibosses and tormentors: the Peregrine Greaves. These boots were mainly used to one-shot people with a shoulder charge in PvP (see our dedicated build for more) but now they not only inflict a lot more damage, but they also entirely refund your melee energy when hitting these specific major enemies.
To get all this damage you’ll need to be airborne when activating the ability and set up your target with a Tractor Cannon, but the results are stunning: we, and other creators online, were able to delete from existence an unstunned champion in a master-level lost sector with a single solar shoulder charge.
Abilities
The Throwing Hammer nerf with its new 1.4-second cooldown between activations really hurts and it’s no longer a viable option to just stand in a Sunspot to deal damage to champions and bosses. However, thanks to Revitalizing Blast, the Throwing Hammer is now the perfect initiator of any fight with a major enemy as it is possible to weaken them again and again while damaging them with our guns. The added aim assist is helpful in low health situations to quickly finish a red bar enemy and create a lifesaving sunspot.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
In the aspects and Fragments department the choice is quite easy, Consecration is a lot of fun but there’s a lot more value to be extracted from our melee than just a big explosion that’s very risky to pull off. So we went with Roaring Flames and Sol Invictus to stay alive and generate as many Sunspots as possible.
The fragments we chose build into the Scorch and Ignition mechanics. Ember of Eruption increases the area of effect of the explosions, Ember of Char makes our ignitions spread even more scorch to affected targets, Ember of Solace makes Radiant last a little longer and Ember of Ashes just puts more scorch on the battlefield.
As far as mods go, we suggest a fairly standard kit with ammo finders, damage resistances and a slight focus on grenades as killing with them instantly grants the most stacks of damage bonus from our leg armor Exotic.

Armor and weapons
Our Void Build for Season of the Wish revolves around the Helm of Saint-14 and the Bastion and Offensive Bulwark aspects. The objective is to become a fortress that churns out melee and grenade abilities while also providing constant overshield. First, place the barricade down in a strategic position, then throw grenades and shields as you like, and then use your overshield from the Ward of Dawn to get your abilities back faster while protecting your teammates with a safe haven from damage.
Solar weapons are highly recommended this season because of the artifact mods that we mentioned earlier, especially trace rifles that have received a buff this season. You can choose between the easily obtainable Retraced Path (from Dares of Eternity) or the Root of Nightmares’ Acasia’s Dejection that, if you are brave enough to face the master difficulty challenges, hits hard in its adept form with the perk Target Lock. As a heavy, we recommend rocket launchers for this build and all of the others because of Argent Ordinance, an artifact perk in the last column that consumes armor charge (which all of our builds provide) to increase damage and reload speed of rocket launchers.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
Bastion and Offensive Bulwark are the cornerstones of this build so we are leaving Controlled Demolition behind. The fragments we picked are all general purpose to increase survivability (Echo of Leeching), increase explosions (Echo of Expulsion), get volatile rounds (Echo of Instability) and replenish devour (Echo of Starvation) which can be a life saving mechanic in tense situations.
As far as regular mods go, we wanted to maximize uptime on grenades and melee to initiate the chain of ability damage that feeds Bastion and Offensive Bulwark. As a result, our armor charge is almost entirely devoted to Utility Kickstart to have our powered up barricade back as soon as possible and continue to provide overshield to us and our allies.

The Arc Titan was the hardest hitting subclass for Grandmaster Nightfalls a few seasons ago but after some nerfs it dwindled in popularity. This doesn’t mean that it’s no longer feasible though: its powered up Storm Grenade is still the fastest way to clear a group of ads and it’s really hard to not kill a champion or a miniboss with a well-aimed Thundercrash.
Armor and weapons
Our build focuses on the two strengths of this subclass: grenades and supers to maximize crowd control and damage. Arc Titans will want to have the Armamentarium equipped as its grenade-doubling perk remains unmatched in its simplicity to efficacy ratio. Then, when it’s time to hit hard, a good damaging Thundercrash is just a Cuirass of the Falling Star hot swap away. In the weapons department we recommend just bringing Solar ones and you’ll be golden, maybe a Malfeasance will spice things up a bit thanks to its recent buff and extremely nasty exotic perk.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
Our aspects of choice are Touch of Thunder and Knockout to get both the powered up storm grenade we mentioned earlier and become amplified by defeating targets with our melee. For fragments we chose Spark of Shock to jolt enemies with our Grenades, Spark of Volts to become amplified with finishers, Spark of Magnitude to make our grenades last longer and Spark of Amplitude to generate orbs of power while amplified.
As far as mods are concerned, the objective is to have our grenades back as quickly as possible so our armor charge will be almost entirely devoted to Grenade Kickstart with Impact Induction providing even more ability energy when dealing melee damage.

In PvP the Striker Titan still dominates: whether you like Thundercrashing around or unleashing your Fists of Havoc, Arc remains the best way to survive and outplay your enemies in any PvP mode.
Armor and weapons
For the Exotic armor, we opted for the Peregrine Greaves, the only way left to one shot people at any level of resilience with a shoulder charge. They are tricky to use because now there’s a timer between the start of the jump and the activation of the damage boosting ability but the instant deletion of enemies is a sight to behold.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
With Juggernaut we can transform our dash (no point in having a barrier and the cooldown is faster) into a front-facing shield to keep pressing W and shotgunning people into oblivion. Then, thanks to Touch of Thunder and its two Lightning Grenades, no enemy will be safe behind a corner. This playstyle requires some practice, especially with grenade placements but it’s extremely useful when trying to clutch a Trials round.
Mods are the classic array of targeting for your preferred gun (Ace of Spades is never a wrong answer), reloading accelerators, unflinching and holsters, all with the aim to maximize the fun with gunplay. Lastly, although we are feeding our class ability to Juggernaut, we still recommend using Reaper on your mark as its ability to generate Orbs of Power is still very effective.

The Stasis subclass has received a number of changes and quality of life improvements in Season of the Wish, but it still falls short of being on par with Strand or Solar.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
Behemoth Titans long for the glory days of Crucible domination and are left with Diamond Lances and ice-breaking slides to comfort them. Our build leans heavily on the two strengths of this subclass leaving you, the player, with the option of going full cristal-shattering colossus or becoming a master strategist with your Diamond Lances. This Means our two aspects of choice are Cryoclasm and Diamond Lance. This gives us access to five fragments slots which we used for Whisper of Chains to get less damage near crystals, Whisper of Refraction to get our class ability (so more crystals) back faster, Whisper of Rending to inflict more damage to crystals and break them more easily, Whisper of Fissures to increase the shattering blast and Whisper of Conduction for the stat bonuses.
The two artifact mods dedicated to Stasis are not that great as they don’t increase the subclass’ damage output by much, but they help in freezing and shattering more enemies. Still, there’s a lot of fun to be had with the Behemoth Titan in lower difficulty content such as the seasonal activities or the new dungeon.
Armor and weapons
If you opt for the always sliding behemoth, your Exotic armor piece of choice is none other than the Hoarfrost-Z which substitutes your barricade with a wall of crystals that you can shatter to inflict a lot more damage. If you decide that you want to play from range and focus on your lances, then the Cadmus Ridge Lancecap is mandatory as it creates ice crystals where your spears land and generates new lances when doing stasis weapons finals blows near a rally barricade.
The recommended Exotic weapon for both of them is the Ager’s Scepter for its freezing and shattering potential but you can also use the Verglas Curve exotic bow to create more crystals or the new primary stasis trace rifle, the Appetence, which is the legendary version of the Scepter.

Of all the nerfs to Titans that Season of the Wish has brought, the one to the Banner of War plus Synthoceps combo is the hardest hitting. Gone are the days of immortality with just three melee kills and obscene damage with one-two punch shotguns but, thanks to the sheer brokenness of Suspend, Strand is still one of the best ways to go about the endgame as a Titan.
Armor and weapons
Our build for Season of the Wish isn’t new in any way, it’s a back to basics with the wombo-combo of Drengr’s Lash, Quicksilver Storm, and Abeyant Leap to suspend every conceivable enemy. Suspending major enemies, big groups of redbars and aggressive Screebs is a godsend in Grandmaster content and with this build you’ll also have access to Woven Mail (Strand’s overshield) thanks to Tangle pickups. A lot of ways to deal with powerful foes and plenty of survivability make Strand the second-best subclass for hard content this season. To use Solar’s power and Strand’s excellent crowd control simply bring Solar weapons along with your Quicksilver Storm (which you can substitute with a well-rolled Rufus’ Fury, the auto rifle from Root of Nightmares) and enjoy total dominance on the battlefield.
Aspects, fragments, and mods
There’s no better aspect to go along with the suspending power of the Drangr’s Lash and Abeyant Leap combo than Into the Fray. This ability lets us get Woven Mail simply by destroying a tangle which you’ll be making plenty of with this build. The fragments we selected are all in on Suspend so Thread of Mind gets us class ability energy back when defeating suspended enemies, Thread of Generation gives us grenade energy back for our Shackle Grenades, Thread of Warding gets us Woven Mail when there are no Tangles to be found and Thread of Continuity maintains enemies suspended for longer. As for the mods it’s a standard all-in on class ability and grenades to maximize the incredible crowd control powers of suspend.
