Fortunately, Valve has released the entire Steam sale dates for the rest of the year and beyond, so that you can plan your wishlist. Whether you’re looking for new PC games to sink your teeth into or simply the best PC games of all time, there’s something for everyone on Steam. Smaller publisher sales can introduce you to new favorites if you get to the bargains in time, while seasonal sales are much bigger and last one to two weeks, with more games, DLC, and bundles available with chunkier discounts.

The Steam Winter Sale is currently active and runs until January 4, 2024.

As opposed to a standard sale on existing games, Next Fest turns the spotlight on upcoming games, and many developers put out free demos for their future releases. The best Steam feature, especially for keeping an eye on sales, is your Wishlist. Sure, browsing these sales for some decent bargains or games you’ve never heard of before can often introduce you to surprise hits, but if there are games that you know you want, be sure to add them to your wishlist to be notified when they go on sale.
